From May 20 to 22, Opatija will host RES Days 2026 (Dani OIE 2026), the largest renewable energy conference with an international character taking place in Croatia.
At a time when Europe is increasingly seeking stable and domestic energy sources, energy is no longer discussed only through the lens of technology or climate goals. It has become closely linked to security of supply, economic competitiveness and long-term affordable energy prices for industry, businesses and citizens.
The conference programme will explore the role of energy across key sectors of the economy — from industry, tourism and agriculture to digital infrastructure. Discussions will focus on domestic energy production, security of supply, grid modernisation, system resilience, batteries, project financing, active consumers, electromobility and the development of the PPA market.
RES Days 2026 is held under the patronage of the Croatian ministries responsible for physical planning, green transition, agriculture and tourism, with the support of the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), SolarPower Europe and WindEurope.
The previous edition gathered more than 400 participants from 19 countries, representing 115 companies and 30 institutions. This year’s conference is expected to attract an even broader international audience, particularly as RES Croatia (OIEH) marks its 10th anniversary.
RES Days 2026 brings together industry leaders, institutions, investors and experts for practical discussions on the future of energy and the role of renewables in strengthening Europe’s economy and energy security.
