Serbia has joined the Regional Booking Platform, which enables transparent booking of capacity at cross-border interconnection points.
Energy Community said that this is a step towards a more open, integrated and competitive natural gas market, contributing to the broader goal of establishing a regional gas market fully aligned with European standards.
As explained, the move enables third-party access to gas infrastructure and allows market participants to book transmission capacity between Serbia and neighbouring countries in line with Capacity Allocation Mechanism (CAM) rules.

The use of the Regional Booking Platform is expected to start in July, with capacity allocation procedures to be carried out in accordance with the annual auction calendar of the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) and standard products defined by network codes.
Although some standard capacity booking products will be introduced at a later stage, this step is seen as part of a gradual alignment with the CAM Network Code, with the aim of increasing predictability and transparency in the regional gas market.
